At Harbor, we recognize that sending your child to an independent school requires a significant financial commitment, and we are committed to providing a quality education to as many families as possible. Financial aid awards are need-based and determined by a third party system that evaluates the income available for tuition of each applicant family. Awards are contingent upon the financial aid funds available in the school’s operating budget.
The admission and financial aid applications and processes are independent of each other.
Although the priority deadline for financial aid applications is February 1, we will continue to accept applications as funds are available.

The Harbor School uses Financial Aid for Student Tuition (FAST), a service provided by Independent School Management, to process financial aid requests.
The application process for financial aid is comprised of three parts:

Submission of required paperwork to FAST
Submission of a letter to the school explaining special situations that may not otherwise be apparent in your submission of financial information to FAST.
The deadline for completing the online application and submitting corresponding paperwork for the 2024-2025 school year is February 1, 2024. This applies to both returning families and new applicants.
Financial aid requests must be submitted on an annual basis. Applicants will be notified in mid-February whether their application has been approved and the amount of financial aid to be awarded. Receipt of past financial aid does not guarantee that financial aid will automatically be forthcoming in future years. Late applications for financial aid may be submitted, but it is not guaranteed that aid will be available.
All information relating to financial aid is kept in strict confidence.
